About Ludvik
Ludvik Kindl founded Bekera Consulting
after a successful career as a senior electrical engineer
and senior engineering manager for hardware companies in the United
States, Europe, and Asia. With 27 years of electrical engineering
experience, Ludvik is an expert in the design and development of
analog circuits and applying that knowledge to the design of high-speed
PC boards and systems.
Ludvik has a wealth of experience in
signal integrity analysis, SPICE and IBIS modeling, computer simulation,
power integrity analysis, and more to ensure project success.
He is a high-energy individual who is adept at mastering new technologies
quickly.
Ludvik has an outstanding track record
of helping engineers design, build and test prototype PC boards
and systems on schedule. He interfaces effectively with diverse
groups of people, while transferring his knowledge to team members.
Although Ludvik is especially skilled at problem evaluation and
turnaround, it is to your advantage to bring him in early in the
design phase to prevent SI mistakes that can become quite costly
if they are discovered in production or after product release.
With 15 years of management experience, Ludvik brings the leadership
skills and first hand-experience to effectively direct all aspects
of a design project from doing feasibility studies and component
selection, through building and testing prototypes.
Prior to founding Bekera Consulting, Ludvik worked as an SI expert
and manager at Spirent Communications where he lead the efforts
of a team of 29 engineers in the definition, design, and development
of high-speed telecommunications equipment.
Prior to Spirent, Ludvik was a principal engineer at Aureal and
Turbo Instruments. He designed high-speed testers for GaAs digital
circuits at California Eastern Laboratories. He also designed high-speed
fiber optics communication links at Aydin Microwave and Harris Corporation.
As testimony to his leadership skills, Ludvik launched and built
a successful engineering company in Prague.
Having designed analog circuits at Ampex Corporation and taught
analog circuit design at a University in Alger, Ludvik
brings unique experience in analog design. His knowledge
of analog has proved extremely valuable in using signal integrity
analysis to troubleshoot transmission line interconnects for high-speed
digital boards.
Ludviks knowledge of ICs and PC boards goes beyond the circuit
level. He also has extensive experience with the mechanical aspects
of PCBs and quality assembly practices. Using mechanical tools and
special techniques, he can test signals without altering them. With
clients and other business contacts in many countries, Ludvik can
also provide advice on "Asianizing" a bill of materials
(BOM), as well as designing and mass producing IC packages, circuit
boards, backplanes and systems in Asia and Eastern Europe.
Ludvik obtained BSEE and MSEE degrees
from California State University and San Jose State University,
respectively. He is a member of IEEE
and the Professional and Technical Consultants Association (PATCA).
Born in the Czech Republic, Ludvik is a US citizen with DOD top-secret
clearance. He is fluent in English, Czech, French, and Russian.
